Lacco Ameno, the smallest of the municipalities on the island of Ischia, is a jewel of history, nature and culture. Here is the Nestor Cup, one of the oldest documents of Greek writing, preserved in the Pithecusae Museum of Villa Arbusto, which testifies to the archaeological importance of Pithekoussai, the first Greek settlement in the West. The area, a natural amphitheater on the sea, offers unique experiences: from the spectacular San Montano beach with its fine sand and crystal clear sea, to the Monte Vico path which crosses the Mediterranean scrub to offer breathtaking views. The iconic symbol of the town is the Mushroom, a particular green tuff rock shaped by the wind and waves.

Lacco Ameno is also renowned for its thermal excellences, such as the Negombo Park, an oasis of well-being and beauty. The Feast of Santa Restituta, patron saint of the island, is famous and attracts devotees and tourists with spectacular celebrations in May. The location has become an exclusive destination since the 1950s, thanks to the publisher Angelo Rizzoli, who relaunched its image with works of great value. Lacco Ameno combines traditions, art, architecture and gastronomy with the typical Mediterranean hospitality, making it a place to visit and experience.
